Where to stay

The village sits on the Italian border and has few beds. Briançon, fifteen minutes away, is the safest base; on the Italian side, Clavière and Cesana are often cheaper.

Worth noting: Serre Chevalier also hosts events in the same valley. A well-chosen base lets you cover several venues from one place.

Montgenèvre is the French gateway to the Milky Way, a 400 km cross-border area linked to Sestriere and Sauze d'Oulx. The pass, at 1,850 m, is among the snowiest in the southern Alps.
